The surface of glass is often coated which leads to a contaminated, low surface energy substrate that has poor bonding strength. The traditional way to mitigate this low surface energy is by the application of hazardous and expensive chemicals and primers to ensure good adhesion.
Glass without this protective coating has very good adhesion properties. Plasma Surface Treatment removes this contamination more reliably than cleaning and priming by hand.
